Ramirent has acquired the assets of machinery and equipment rental business of the Czech company Stavební Doprava a Mechanizace (SDM). The acquisition strengthens Ramirent’s presence with three new outlets in Czech Republic.
Stavební Doprava a Mechanizace was founded in 1992 as a dealer, maintenance and rental provider. The offering comprises general rental equipment, aluminium scaffolding, power generator and hoists offered to a variety of customer in the construction sector. The company operates at three locations in Prague, Mukařov and Brno in Czech Republic. The business employs 10 persons working as outlet managers or as technicians who will continue their employment as old employees at Ramirent.

The SDM operations will be consolidated as of 1 April 2011. After this acquisition Ramirent operates 27 outlets in Czech Republic.
