The project involves erecting 25 wind turbines with a total capacity of 147 MW, expected to be operational by the end of 2025.

Ramirent in Växjö has been commissioned to supply machinery and equipment to SR Energy’s new Horshaga Wind Farm in Kronoberg County, which is currently being built by Veidekke. A total of 25 wind turbines will be erected and the plan is for them to supply power to the grid by the end of 2025.

Interest in wind power projects has increased in recent years. Work on the Horshaga wind farm has just started and for Ramirent, the assignment involves supplying a wide range of everything from wheeled sheds, casting equipment and pumps, to wheel loaders, telescopic handlers and vibrators. The contract runs until summer 2025.

“It feels great to be part of the green transition and that we, through our fossil-free machines, can contribute to a more sustainable society,” says Jörgen Folkeson, Key Account Manager at Ramirent.

The Horshaga wind farm consists of the Horshaga, Älmedal and Rosenholm project areas in Uppvidinge Municipality, Kronoberg County. The 25 wind turbines will have a total capacity of 147 MW and will be wind power producer SR Energy’s second wind farm in Uppvidinge municipality.
